for a while I've been wondering whether i should have an faq or not, i don't get many questions but the ones i do get are always the same, thus classifying them as frequently asked questions! XD
here we go... >D

q- is nimai really a boy? <-- THIS IS THE MOST COMMON ONE LOL WTH XDDD
simple answer- nope :]
real answer- nimai doesn't have a set gender. he's supposed to be a person and that's it. i want people to focus more on his personality rather than gender, so i try to make him androgynous. i call him a boy because i'm a bl fan (lol yeah that's the only reason) but sometimes nimai can appear more girly. that's mainly cause i'm a girl and i only have myslef as a modle lol |D

q- how do you pronounce nimai's name?
a- is it really that tough...? well, i think it's like, indian or something weird hehe...
you say it like "nee my" :]

q- is your name really bond?
a- whenever somebody hears that they ask me. yes it is my real name. XD
my parents aren't just james bond fanatics, it's a family name! i have a bunch of family members sharing the name :]

q- how did you get so good at drawing?
a- UGHHHH XD
stop asking me that... cause i don't know!!
drawing is just something i really love doing, and I'm very determined to be good at it so i practice a lot!!
really that's the only way to improve, same as anything!
practice and learn from the masters. :]

q- what do you draw with?
a- usually it's "what pen" or "what led" or something... ;]
i draw with a mechanical drafting pencil, size .3mm led cause I'm finicky like that XD
you can get these pencils at art stores, they're like eight bucks... and i always always use hb or f led. i like hard leds because the lines come out lighter, but it can be bad to use hard leds if you have a tendency to push down hard on that paper.
then also for drawing i use white vinyl erasers, not anything else. I'm very picky lol XD
ALSO i have a weirdly huge collection of pens. all the same kind!!!
i use sakura pigma microns to ink, some people don't like them because the tips aren't very resilient, but i love them cause the ink flow is nice and they're very expressive :]
but you have to have a light hand to get good results with them, same as the led.
AND THEN (omg more) i draw on strathmore sketch paper lol cause I'm cheap XD
but sometimes I'll use bristol board (which i love) or watercolor paper :]
OKAY LAST THING for coloring i use prismacolor colored pencils. they're nice and soft and retardedly expensive. so i only get new sets for Christmas XDD right now i have a 48 and 72 set... lots of colors... ;]

q- so you draw manga... you must be an otaku...
a- total misconception!! XDD
i do like anime and i read manga, but not insanely. i won't tackle a japanese person on the street but i will acknowledge them XD
i mainly like japanese fashion and culture, not just because it's japanese but because i like it!!!
really I'm a very normal person (HA NORMAL YEAH RIGHT) and i won't bring up anime in every conversation, but I'll know what you're talking about if you do ;]
I'm borderline XD

q- how long does it take you to draw stuff/why are comic updates so slow?
a- i draw slow. |D
ask my friends.
i can sketch out a nice pic in under five minutes, but spend hours playing around with it. then I'll ink it the next day... and color the next two days... XDD
comic pages are about the same, maybe two days for a page.
this is cause I'm busy!!!
I'm a high school freshmen guys, i have work to do and parents to do stuff for and important things to watch on tv!!! XD
so as much as i would love it i can't spend all day drawing. usually i only get a few hours of drawing time a day actually... DD:>

q- do you plan to pursue a career in art?
a- of course!!!!
i want to be a comic artist duh!! XD
it's something i really love doing and i would be so happy to draw for work :]

q- okay what's up with caleb.
a- caleb is my mascot :]
i came up with caleb years before i even started drawing manga. he came about back in my sculpting days as a polymer clay elephant. since then i knocked him off my desk and the original caleb shattered on the floor... (i was insanely mad lol)
so he's been with me for a while you see...
he came to fame though when i unveiled my flagship (yes i have a flagship SHUT UP) just, and gave him a part as nimai's best buddy :]
caleb isn't only for the story just either, he just appears in it. caleb is like my logo, he'll appear in other comics and all over everything i like pretty much ^-^
i have three caleb figures in my room and six other elephants ;]

q- where the HECK do you get these names??/how do you decide on names?
a- i get my names from... BABYNAMES.COM!!!!!! XDDD
examples being: nimai, royal, trigg, kale
other names (like blue, eska, nulle, blind, chief) came out of my head :]
i love names. i wrote a comic about names!!! (it's just btw)
i think they mean a lot, so i spend forever naming my characters perfectly. sometimes it just jumps out like adrian's did, other though i have to really think about. nimai's name was at first naresh, which means king. this is much more suiting but it's a boy name. so i looked far and wide for an equally perfect uni-name, and found nimai. nimai means light from within or something...
another fine example is chris. when i first created TEARS his name was something retarded and japanese, but then i decided to give all my characters american names. so chris's name has been: theo, one, naresh (first time i found this one), along with many others... right now he has two names, but I'll explain that in the comic HA
oh and okay the name claire...? yeah it is my favorite name. my best friend when i was a little kid was named claire. and thus begun the love affair XDD

q- I've heard you collect things...?
a- yup.
i collect three things dear... ;]
hats, eyeliner, and socks.
i like weird old hats, colorful eyeliner (i don't own any black eyeliner lol), and knee-highs or thigh-highs
I'll wear the socks and eyeliner on a daily basis, but my hats are mainly here for moral support, except my aviator hat which i have fallen in love with and wear whenever i can XD
